Spire Payments, recognised as one of the leading FinTech providers in the industry, have announced today they will be launching multiple new end-points and payment solutions at TRUSTECH 2017, 28th to 30th November in Cannes, France. This news is well timed as Spire’s new President, TK Cheung, reaffirms the company’s ambitious geographical expansion plans.
Of particular note will be the launch of a brand new range of PIN entry devices (PIN Pads) aimed at both the SME and multi-lane market verticals. The former vertical is addressed by utilising the companies award winning secure mPOS technology, and the latter leveraging the architecture of the well-proven countertop end point; the SPc5. Supporting chip & PIN, contactless and NFC payments the cost sensitive range will be available mid Q1 2018.
Spire’s mPOS capabilities have also expanded significantly with their premium chip & PIN end point; the SPm20, being offered with the additional options of WiFi, or WiFi and Bluetooth comms. The significance of WiFi support is two fold. Firstly, this allows the SPm20 to connect directly to back-end retail systems to deliver services such as integrated queue-busting. Secondly, more advanced mPOS implementations demand greater data bandwidth and range which is best suited to WiFi compared to Bluetooth.
The company’s Asset Control Environment (ACE) receives a significant upgrade which has been branded ACE2 and will be demonstrated at the event. Building on the success of ACE the new functionality includes enhanced end point health monitoring, additional remote diagnostic tools, enhanced data analytics, while reporting capabilities are extended. The result is the ability to further reduce the cost of estate ownership for Spire’s growing number of customers.
Other key points of interest on the Spire stand will be NewNet Communication Technologies (long standing Spire partner) Secure Transaction Cloud (STC) Payment Solution. Linked to Spire’s latest SP range of end points, the solution allows customers to simply purchase a licence rather than invest in costly switching and HSM hardware. A white paper on this solution will be available to visitors and on our website after the event.
TK Cheung, President of Spire Payments, says of this news, “These are truly exciting times for Spire and this announcement is only a taste of what we are launching at Trustech 2017. We continue to invest heavily in our software and service capabilities, which combined with our expanding range of end points ensures we can deliver best-in-class solutions for our customers. I welcome you to visit our stand (LER E 009 – Lérins level) to discuss your business requirements while also viewing our current and newly launched solutions.”
